What is the “Two Temperatures” insulated cardboard boxes or Multi-Temp or Bi-Temp Box

The insulated cardboard box with two different insulated bags is especially designed to transport two different temperatures in one single box. This set-up creates big advantages in parcel shipments when smaller product volumes with different temperatures need to be transported to one single customer. Instead of using two different boxes, resulting in increased transport prices, a single box can be used where two different temperature zones are created by the insulated bags. The principle of the insulated bags is the same as the BAG is BOX model, yet in a smaller version. The pictures below show how the two temperatures are created in a single cardboard box.

How-to-use the insulated Two Temperatures Box or Bi-temp Box

The by Temax developed insulated two temperature box system is a very easy to use packaging system to pack and transport time-temperature sensitive or temperature controlled products such as fresh or frozen food products, chilled or ambient pharmaceuticals or healthcare products etc… The pictures below show how fast the insulated two temperature box can be used. Please notice to seal the insulated bag firmly so no air can float in or out of the insulated thermal bag (thermal bridges – cold bridges). Always place gel packs or ice packs on top of the products (cold temperatures sink down) and make sure that the products are pre-packed when placed in the insulated bag. The insulated cardboard carry box has a special designed insulation set-up – design to make sure that cold bridges or thermal bridges are avoided. The pre-fixed insulation material on the cardboard box creates a certain pressure at the closures creating a thermal sealing system. Easy, fast and efficient.
